Charles Robertson

Marehalm’s exclusive sterling silver jewellery collection is entirely handmade by Charles Robertson -  a jewellery designer living and working in the beautiful coastal landscape of Berwick-upon-Tweed in Northumberland.  

Since completing his training Charles has earned his living making sterling-silver, designer jewellery.

Over many years of training and throughout a successful design career, Charles has concentrated on overseeing every stage of creation of each piece, from conception to conclusion.

 

“I enjoy both the freedom and ‘hands on’ creativity that jewellery design and production entails, together with the control this gives me over the quality, look and finish of my completed work.

It is my hope that the wearer will share this pleasure when choosing, wearing or giving my pieces to others, knowing that each has been made by hand, by me, in my workshop from start to finish, with care and craftsmanship.

Soon after Marehalm opened, I had the pleasure of meeting Heidi and Angela which led me to supplying  the shop in Berwick-upon-Tweed with a range of my jewellery which continues to grow and expand.

Our creative working relationship. which began through sheer serendipity, has thrived and we continue to hold weekly meetings to discuss future directions and additions.

Now, I am delighted to contribute to the new Marehalm website with this first exclusive online collection of my handmade designs - and I look forward to adding more pieces season by season for many years to come!”
