December is upon us and brings with it the comforting smell of cinnamon, the soft lighting of candles and fairy lights, and those well-loved advent and Christmas decorations we’ve all been itching to get down from the loft. Christmas is only just round the corner and I’m sure it’s not just me who feels like December goes by in a flash with all the preparation, gift planning and buying, nativity plays to attend and of course all those festive films to watch again and again…so I’m trying to take one step at a time and really enjoy this beautiful time of year.
I love Christmas. The decorations, the food, getting together with family & friends and treating the ones you love with a gift. I find it almost therapeutic when the time comes to wrap the presents carefully with gift wrap and ribbon and write all the tags. It’s a lovely feeling to give someone something they wished for, whether it’s a physical gift of giving to charity, which is so important, especially at this time of year.
