Creating a home that is calming and relaxing is really important to me. I love bringing the natural Scandinavian world into my home by using textures, materials and colours. There’s nothing better than coming home after a long day, so why not make it a cosy haven for you and your family.
One great and simple way to immediately add warmth and texture to your home is by adding a sheepskin. With such a broad spectrum of different colours and choice of either long-haired sheepskin, short-haired sheepskin, straight or curly hair there is a wonderful selection of varieties to choose from.
Not only that, you don’t have to just opt for a throw you can also choose cushions, sheepskin seat pads, beanbag and pouffs. The options are nearly endless, and you can’t go wrong with sheepskin as its natural quality makes it last for years.
You may think that sheepskins are only good to add into your home in the winter, and yes they do keep you cosy and warm in the chilly months, but they are incredibly adaptable to all seasons and they will feel cool in the warmer months.
One of my favourite types of sheepskin is the Gotland Sheepskin with its unique fleece – beautiful, well defined, dense curls in various grey tones, ranging from light silver grey to a dark slate tones. No matter what colour palette you choose for your home you can find a shade that will blend in nicely with your interiors. With a choice of either long or short haired fleece, both versions are gorgeous but possibly the best thing about them is that they are super soft to touch and invites you to snuggle up and relax.
